Personally, my answer is YES!

Why?

Because Internet gives so many opportunities!Owing it, people can watch, compare and search news. They could be subscribers of several news sources and always be UPDATED! Everyone nowadays could choose the topic of his or her own interest and get fresh news every day! That’s great! Also, owing such NIT as Internet, people can communicate to each other and thus, some how, to FIND OUT THE TRUTH! Also, several words about blogging- people publish their ideas about hot issues, some exclusive information…make it open for everyone, disclosure secrets or just share information with society. Internet is so QUICK and ACCESSABLE FROM EVERYWHERE (just connection or some amount of  money in order to go to Internet cafe are needed:-), it allows audience to participate in process of creating news as I said previously! And it goes equally with such media giants as AP,BBC, CNN, Reuters and so on.All these makes Internet a good source of news.
