Topics of my interest & some links:-)

Here, furter, some links that covers those topics in which I am actually interested: The first onea are about Rakhat Aliyev (Ambassador from Kazakhstan to Austria, son-in-law of Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev) who is accused in kidnapping of Nur Bank’s presenters:

Last week, when I was in Astana, I watched local channel ASTANA where were shown some kind of confession of Abilmajin Gilimov (chairman of Nur bank, who was kidnapped). Suddenly the channel was taken off the air. It was so surprising. Certainly, I became very interested in this story. By the way, next day there were no programs or even single sentence about yesterday broadcast. Few days earlier, regarding this story, I saw a letter of Mr.Aliyev that claimed that he and his family are under the hard pressure, it was published in KARAVAN newspaper that is actually belongs to him (or his wife Dariga Nazarbayeva, it is not 100 per cent known) and all this goes from Almaty akim Tasmagambetov and minister of the MIA Mukhamedzhanov. Also, KARAVAN newspaper linked Mr. Tasmagambetov with Mr. Gilimov, pointed out that they are cousins. Moreover, the chief-editor of KARAVAN accused other media outlets in bias: VREMYA [Time] newspaper and SVOBODA SLOVA [Freedom of the Word]. Next week KARAVAN newspaper was closed, the reason was that they do not publish articles in Kazakh (which newspaper in Kazakhstan do this??? Except if it is entirely in Kazakh language). Channel KTK was also closed (several weeks earlier, several journalists from there were kidnapped as well). What is also interesting to point out, Kazakhstani media do not cover this issue (rarely opposition SVOBODA SLOVA). Russian media provides audience much more better. Even, one of the oldest radios, MAYAK, completely Russian, reported that Mr. Aliyev now in international “hunt” and he is not going to return home. As another Russian site said, Mr. Aliyev stated that he is not crazy to return in that country where he has lost everything (media, shares in bank, etc.) and where he would be unfaithfully judged.
