How could I call my experiences online? I can call it “practices in space”, or even in cyberspace I suppose to think now. Earlier I did not care about how to identify the process of being online or what actually the space is. “…Cyberspace is not a void. But neither is it like geographical space – it does not “contain” places. In fact it does not contain anything at all. Instead, cyberspace is a metaphor that conjures up an image or an idea of the potential of information or telecommunication networks which are formed by computers linked by telecommunications,”- says Rob Shields (Unspun, 2000).Personally I think that time, which I spend in Internet could be called like spent stage in another tense, in other place, space, because the world of Internet and real life are different. Surely, both of them have some things in common, but the same time… You never know with whom you’re actually chatting. Nowadays, thanks for progress, many people have Scype and built-in cameras in their computers, so they can see each other and talk to. But for short time communication, possibly, in the same chats and forums, everyone could think up himself or herself again and again, playing and fooling another people. That’s fun from one side, from another it is about uncertainty and desire to escape from reality. My own experiences online are not so huge or broad. It’s narrow, and I do not want it to expand. Firstly, because I prefer not virtual relations. Relations in real life for me are more valuable. Secondly, usage of Internet for me is limited by searching news and some useful information or that is in my interest. Thirdly, now I am posting entries on my personal weblog and group weblog and what excite me the most is to answer on comments and thus way to debate and discuss topics. All in all, I could and simply call all these experiences belong to space, another space, and another dimension.

As we found out several days ago during class session, several people would still use Wikipedia, even if it is prohibited by their instructors (teachers,professors…etc). Why it is so popular? Firstly, it’s easy to access and it contains everything that simple people want to know, because it is actually created (or could be corrected) by these simple people, except protected articles Secondly, as Wiki itself put it, this free encyclopedia allows so many opportunities to cooperate for people: navigation system, discussion pages, reviews and reverts and so on.   In my personal opinion, people could trust Wikipedia because they always provides readers with references and if at some stage in reading some questions appears, Wikipedia’s texts have links within and search button on right side. Even Wiki works together with Google on limited rights, but no way in order to find more accurate information. Also, about writing on Wiki- in England, for example, it is not so easy – future author should wait for 3 days in order to gain access, in Portuguese, at least 15 editing should be made before publishing. Edits could also be made automatically (“bots”).Owing to Wikipedia so many communities has been created (wiki farms, for instance, could be personal, private wiki on the Web)!

Wiki also provides links to other sources- that is also plus, and do you know how many languages Wiki use for writing? 82- that’s the point! Useful for everyone and used by everyone…I hope, that is not sound as ad J))

It’s amazing when people  can communicate owing to weblogs. Interesting discussions and talks, debates are not rare here, on the web pages. I would like to write here about chats both on my individual blog and our group site, which is devoted to arts. Firstly, I have to say that politics of KZ has demand and we (NIT students) like to talk about events that are happening on Kazakhstani politics’ arena. Here, you’ll find link how we are discussing recent dissolution of parliament. Secondly, group site gives me an opportunity to tell people about art, to show them great masterpieces of famous and unfamous painters and to find out about what they are actually want to know more and what they expect to see in my entries. Thus way, Sabircheg asked about her favourite painter, about whom, owing her, I am planning to write next.
